The Russian Mob was my favorite this semester! I found the subject matter very interesting. I remember watching a movie called Eastern Promises. The portrayl of the Russian Mob was scary and very good in my opinion. It is scary that one organization can have such power and control. Not someone I would want to cross that's for sure! These people do not mess around. This posted video can really open your eyes and is very informative. With no one to really stop them and how the Mafia has inflitrated the government, its no wonder they are so powerful and feared. They aren't a bunch of street thugs; they are an educated group as well. Very interesting in my opinion.
The Russian Mob is scary indeed, having no sort of ethical government structure really holds back true potential for what Russia could actually accomplish. With Russia’s government completely infiltrated, not only are they powerful but shows how intelligent some of these fellows are. Equipped with an “I can do or take over anything I see fit” mindset the Russian Mob takes what they want when they want, because there has been no one to stop them. However, what are still lingering outside of the government are the skinheads. I can understand the xenophobic mentality somewhat, but how can you follow the views of someone who tried and slightly succeeded at extinguishing your life? Simply put their devotion is ignorance at best to follow the insane ideological views that Hitler promoted himself. All in all, these points make it difficult for me to ever want to go to Russia even though I know it’s beautiful in some parts.
It amazes me that this is not like your ordinary gang. They have hell training, backgrounds of fighting and tactics on how they need to get things accomplish. Almost as if it was a little military being ran. They live for danger and are well prepared for it as well. To see how powerful they are is kinda scary in a way. But as much as their are bull headed about fighting they are pretty intelligent as well. When you put both of those together calls for a deadly combination. But the skin heads kinda confuse me, why would you want to fallow someone who tried to destroy your very existence in the world.
I also favored the Russian Mob this semester. I was very interesting to see how much control they had over just about anything and everything in Russia. The Russian Mob seems like a very scary group, due to the violence they can and will inflict on anyone, and because they are so organized. Not to mention because there are so many corrupt officials, and half of them work for or, are members of the Russian Mob. Any crimes that they commit go unpunished. I agree with Nick regarding the Nationalist, I don’t see how anyone would adopt the same views as the person who wanted to wipe out their existence. In the video it was also sad to see how many people were victims of the nationalist because of the color of their skin. Russia seems like a beautiful place, it is sad that it is a place that is filled with so much hatred.
The Russian gangs were a pretty rough group to learn about this semester. Interesting, but rough. I had no idea how much global influence the Russians had in relation to organized crime. Initially, when I think of organized crime, the Italian Mafia comes to mind. I am just so confused on their ideology. How can these people glorify the same philosophies as Adolf Hitler? The same individual how attempted to wipe the Russian society from existence. That exact point just proves how distorted people’s minds can become. Brainwashing is a great tool used by certain groups to gain support. One thing that I found quite interesting is that the members of the Russian Mob are highly educated and sophisticated criminals. At least they have these two things going for them if the criminal world does not work out.
The Russian mob has been an interest of mine for some time now. I was excited to see that we were going to learn about them this semester. It's crazy how much control the Russian mob has in Russia and how much influence they have amongst the people. The other thing that has always interested me was there love for symbology and there love to show it in there tattoos. The thing I didn't like was how some of there ideologies was adopted from Hitler. I found this kind of odd since there own country helped bring down the Nazi regime. I just wished the government was more stable and able to get some sort of control over these guys because they are scary and men with this much power is not a good thing.
The Russian mob was deffinitly interesting to study. They are very organized and secretive criminals. They had some sort of control over everything that there is in Russia, including the governement. They do not get punished for most of the crimes that they do commit. Something that is pretty cool to me is how they train for anything that could possibly happen, and they train hard. They dont just train to brawl, they train by running, climbing walls, and other intense things. No one can stop these people and that is why they make such a big difference in everything that they do

The Russian mob is very organized and it is very wop secret organization. I really enjoyed watching this presentation and learned about the mob from Russia. They are controlling almost everything there is to control in Russia and the law does not apply to them. I think that they are one of the most ruthless mob in the world they defenitly are number one in eastern Europe and other parts of the Europe.
