I'm still not quite sure how destructive the Aryan Nation is as a whole. I'm pretty sure there's a large criminal element there. We have some first hand experience dealing with them in our Henderson bail bonds office. For what it's worth, the gentleman was very cooperative with us and made all court appearances. That's why we're not the judge or jury. We just help anyone preserve their constitutional right to bail.
ReplyDeleteI suppose that throwing the drugs out the window during the pursuit is one way to distribute. Im only kidding. But, I do wonder, will this man carry his same "rank" over with him to prison? As in, will he have the same amount of respect inside as he did outside?
ReplyDeletewhat i don't understand is how people think that if they throw these guys in prison its going to change any thing. they will just end up creating a branch of the brotherhood in prison. by putting members of the brother hood in prison it is getting them off the streets but they have connections from the inside...This couple was stupid in the fact that they made the situation worse for themselves. They not only had drugs on them they ran from the police which adds on to the charges... i would just have stopped and taken what was coming...
ReplyDeleteI believe this is completely just. Meth is a terrible drug that is responsible for a huge number of deaths. This, along with his gang activity, is more than enough to justify life in prison with no parole for this man.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe that a life sentance is to harsh for this crime if there were several previous offenses on his behalf. if not, i kind of feel like life is a little on the stiff side. I have a feeling being affiliated with the Aryan Nations and holding the position that he did that this was not his first criminal offense. Im definitely not losing any sleep over the sentance.
ReplyDeleteIm have I think pretty good knowledge on the ABT and I think the life sentence fits the crime. But being that he is a high ranking member in the gang it's not going to make a difference if he is in prison or not he's going to keep running the show and their really isn't anything the the CJ system can do to stop him. The only way he can be completely stopped is if he is dead.
ReplyDeleteWhile I was doing my internship, at the U.S probation and pretrial services, I had the opportunity to talk to the probation officer that was assigned to this case. She said that it was a very interesting case. Obviously this man had a long criminal history that was taken in consideration when he was sentenced to death. The probation officer also said that this man had died just a couple of months after the sentencing; he had some kind of heart problems.
