Boy, look at the smirk on his face!!! He appears to be very proud of the carnage that he created. There has to be a theory just for the smirk...
ReplyDeleteJust by looking at him I would assume he was not right in the head. The guy doesn't even have eyebrows, there is something to be said about that. He deserves the death penalty, they are only bringing charges against him for the death of those in the government, what about the public bystanders like the 9 year old boy, will he pay for that as well? Get 2 life sentences that do nothing but cost us money?
ReplyDeleteThis guy really tests my Christian core values (when I just think about that pretty little girl whose life he snuffed out) and I battle with feelings of hate.

Wow. Its amazing how well he fits the physical stereotype of a psychotic killer. It is amazing that Gifford survived a gun shot wound to the head. I cannot wrap my head around why he had so much hate for her and her political views and why he felt it neccessary to take her life and the lives of many other innocent people.
ReplyDeletewhat i don't understand is how someone can go and shoot up a crowed of innocent people. This guy shot and killed a innocent little girl and a government official and he showed no remorse toward his actions. He had a smirk on his face which clearly shows that he don't care. The life of the little girl that he took will never be able to be given back which is sad because she was just beginning in life. this guy seriously needs to be in a physic ward. and as far as the death penalty that the prosicution is seeking i think this guy deserves it because he obviously has no regard to human life what so ever..
ReplyDeleteIt’s always interesting to watch the criminal justice system give more value to the life of a person who works for the system, as Loughner’s sentencing will be harsher than it would be if he had only killed regular civilians. This fact alone displays the bias structure within our criminal justice system, and raises question to how the severity of crimes are measured and what consequences are then necessary to implement. To me this reaffirms that the priorities of those in power lack moral consideration regarding justice within life. On the contrary, those who dedicate their lives to the improvement of society merit great respect.
ReplyDeleteI think this is very devastating. Although we as people should be aware of our surroundings it is not always easy to find and point out people like this before a tragedy occur. Yes he certainly stands out with the appearance of a cerial killer but that does not always come to mind even though you try not to always assume something about a person. The innocent bystanders that were hit just make you wonder is there any safe moment throughout the day. He appears to not be ashamed of his wrong doing so I think he should definitely get the maximum punishment.
ReplyDeleteIt is always easy to say that a person that commits an act like this is insane or has some kind of mental health problem. Because we want to believe that only a sick person could do such a thing. But the reality is that many of the people that do things like just use it as an easy defense, but they truly know exactly what they are doing. I think that we all know that killing someone is wrong, even a five year old knows that they should not kill someone. I believe that this guy deserves the death penalty.
