  1. The bombing of the Boston Marathon, just like 9/11, was a horrific and life altering event. Lives were lost, that did not deserve to be lost. Many were injured, who did not deserve to be injured. The bombs were said to have had nails and other sharp devices in them. The United States government's first reaction to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, was to strongly enforce gun control laws. If the government has the same approach for this event, then nails and every day materials will be banned as well. This event shows the real killers of America, the people. Citizens are becoming crazier and crazier and doing horrible things that they cannot take back. The lives lost can never be regained. The United States has cold-blooded killers. Their minds are not focused on who is being harmed. These individuals are more concerned with harming others and making them feel the way these individuals feel. Once they make the mistake, they cannot change and take back what harm they caused.

  2. It is really unfortunate that this incident happened so close to the shooting at Sandy Hook. People were still trying to recover from the shock of the shooting at Sandy Hook and now they are faced with the fact that there are horrible people in this world who are willing to harm anyone. Many innocent people were injured and the few people that died will not be forgotten. Hopefully the FBI find the people guilty for this tragic event and they bring justice to the families who were hurt by the bombing. I think that this event along with the other tragic events occurring this year are putting Americans on edge with the concern of not knowing what will happen next or who will be under attack next. This problem needs to be solved as soon as possible for the safety of Americans and their peace of mind.

  3. This terrorist attack was quite surprising. I remember coming out of philosophy class to see the bombing occur only moments after it set off. The event was all media in a matter of minutes. Though, it was indeed sad to see many innocent people get hurt at a marathon. Rather unsuspecting entirely, at least the bombing was done at a larger scale. My guess was the terrorist were most likely American or part of a minor terrorist group since the bombs weren’t strategically place to cause the most possible damage. Still on the other hand the crime conductors of the Boston Bombing devastated so many lives. Hopefully the FBI will be able to find out who exactly did this and bring to them justice. Hopefully the media will settle down over the next few days. Though, it is only reasonable for our country to be stunned by such an attack. I only suspect that more crazy bombings will occur in the future. Who knows when another tragic event will occur; this country is filled with crazed killers that are willing to even harm the innocent in mass numbers.

  4. The bombings that took place at the Boston marathon was a horrific event. It caused three deaths and around 176 injuries. Out of the three deaths was a little 8 year old boy. I cannot believe someone could do this to other people. Not to long ago was the Sandy Hook school shooting which was another horrific event that took place. This Boston marathon was in honor of these children and teachers who lost their lives. Richard DesLauriers stated “Someone knows who did this,” which meant out of everyone at the Boston marathon there had to be someone who had to know or have an idea of who the bomber is. Also there has to be family, friends, neighbors, or coworkers of this bomber who might of been told or given the idea of intention to bomb the Boston marathon. After DesLauriers' briefing more than 2,000 tips waved in to the FBI'S phones. Also a lot of businesses sent in videos and pictures of the bombings. No suspects have been reported yet. Also the bombs were carried in black bags. The bombs were made from pressure pots with tons of nails and ball bearings inside the pots. Obama stated, “We will find whoever harmed our citizens, and we will bring them to justice."

  5. This incident disgusts me, I cannot fathom the fact that somebody can do something like this to harm other human beings. Whoever is responsible for this was pretty smart by leaving nothing to be tracked back to them. It is usually very difficult to do something like this and not be caught. People leading investigators to false leads does not help ither. This is going to be a long and grueling process for them, and people are doing nothing but bringing the case two steps back when they throw their two cents in. I do not understand how they have found no clues to who it could have been. Did no one on the sideline remember seeing someone randomly throwing a backpack down, and run? I find that hard to believe. Someone is covering for someone. My prayers go out to all the people and families effected by this tragedy.

  6. It's been almost a week since the bombings and of course it has been a roller coaster with the media and facts. One thing is for sure, job well done to the massive collaboration of people from all agencies and sources. I cannot imagine the amount of data that was necessary to shift through. From photos, videos, eye witness, media, and the list goes on. Overwhelming but it was a huge payoff. Just goes to show what accuracy and perseverance will achieve. Job well done. Now to understanding why?

  7. I think that the FBI made a good call by publishing this information asking for help. I feel that by including all of this information as far as what evidence they have so far and quoting the firefighter chief that there will be a lot support from the citizens. There were already 2,000 tips by midday one day after this horrible event took place. I can only image how many tips they will be receiving once this article it read. I think people that do know something will come forward and what will help pushed them will be the quote from the Chief when he stated this was the worse situation he has ever seen. People will want to know why someone would want to do this. They will want justice and closure for the families of the victims that were killed and injured.

  8. This incident in Boston was scary and sad every day we keep on seeing more and more people who enjoy harming innocent people even little kids who are burly starting to be part of this world. It is so sad seeing that an 8-year-old boy was killed in this horrible incident and that 176 people were injured just because some crazy individuals or an individual decide to create bombs to hurt innocent citizens. I thought it was a great that the FBI asked the public to help them by giving them any photos, videos, or anything that could give them some tips. I really hope the FBI gets as much evidence as possible to get to the bottom of all this and actually find all the persons who were involved to prevent another incident like this.

  9. “If you want to know who we are, what America is, how we respond to evil, that’s it,” he said. “Selflessly, compassionately, unafraid. This is just a minuet part of Obama's speech after the Boston Bombing and it was a great one. Why would anyone want to inflict pain on hundreds of people just because, or for whatever reason they think is justifiable? They have found the suspects, one is deceased and the other is in custody. Hopefully he gives the world some answers as to why he decided to go through with this. Already tons of research has been done, and more will continue. With the help of the community we were able to capture these men, job well done.

  10. It's always sad to see things like this occur, especially when children are involved. I remember back in 1995 when the Oklahoma City bombing occurred I was living in Edmond, OK at the time and I was 5 years of age. My father was a police officer in the City at the time and he had to work the bombing aftermath. I remember it shaking our house when it went of and my parents were thinking an earthquake had happened. I can still remember how sad my father was just from working that and seeing all the dead bodies. I don't think we'll ever fully understand these acts when Americans attack our own country.
